6C8037475 General Motors took the auto industry by storm with the production of the Buick Century in a 4 door hardtop version.
Introduced in the middle of the 1955 model year, this top of the line sedan was the first 4 door hardtop to roll out of Detroit.
The other manufacturers quickly followed suit, but GM ruled the day in 1956 with this car.
Century rose to prominence as the performance car for Buick, with the 322 Nailhead V8 producing 255HP.
The car also remained as the top of the line model for Buick, signified by the four VentiPorts on the front fenders.
