General Description:
o Manage and coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
o Act as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure that the client's expectations are satisfied.
o Ensure the project conforms to the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
Skills Required:
o Previous technical, practical and commercial experience including proven ability in leading multidiscipline activities.
o Previous experience as a project engineer on projects of up to US$5m - US$10m total value.
o Demonstrable commitment to HSE Management in a project environment, leadership and communication skills and a high level of customer focus.
Basic
o Minimum 5 years of experience; and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Additional
o Ability to implement project execution plans as required by company policy and procedures. Solutions are derived from knowledge gained through past external experiences and internal resources, including policies and procedures. The ability to effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to senior level management is critical. Ability to persuade and influence others is critical.
o Demonstrate superior client service/maintenance skills
o Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are critical.
o Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and strong data analysis & technical problem solving expertise.
o Experience in developing proposals and interview material for new project pursuits.
o Will interface with lower level personnel, upper level management, customers, and outside vendors.
o Ability to maintain confidential information is critical.
o Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Beneficial
o General experience in the hydrocarbon industry, upstream/midstream/downstream, or equivalent relevant experience.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Essential
o Works with individual lead discipline engineer to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
o Assigns responsibility to executing project plans for key subordinates and assesses how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.
o Maintain and build healthy client relationships throughout the project and post completion.
o Mobilizes Company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
o Works with individual lead discipline to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the customer and Company management of any such changes.
HSE Management
o Visibly support our Client's One-Way Program and maintain HSE focus within the team to ensure OHSE requirements included in design and procurement.
Commercial Management
o Ensure effective management of our Client's contract, including delivery of the budget gross margin.
Scope Management
o Ensure a clear definition of scope.
o Ensure compliance with requirements of the contract.
o Apply an effective change control process,
o Manage and monitor project performance on an ongoing basis to identify issues and opportunities early and take pre-emptive action.
Time Management
o Manage the design, procurement and construction activities to meet the project schedule.
o Take ownership of the project schedule.
o Ensure timely and effective documentation turnover and project close-out.
Cost Control
o Ensure that all project plans and estimates are prepared accurately and timely.
o Assist in monitoring and control all cost aspects of the project to forecast costs, obtain approvals, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns and take advantage of opportunities
Quality Management
o Define the project quality requirements.
o Ensure the right systems are in place and that these are applied on the project.
o Ensure compliance with our Client's policies and procedures.
Team Management
o Provide clear and focussed leadership for the project.
o Provide mentoring of personnel as required and participate in staff performance evaluations.
o Identify and implement training requirements.
Communications Management
o Ensure effective communications with the project team.
o Ensure accurate, timely & effective progress reporting to the Client and internally to our Client's management.
o Ensure ongoing monitoring of the communication network between project staff, the client and third parties and introduction of changes where required.
Risk Management
o Identify and monitor closure of all project risks and opportunities.
o Maintain the risk avoidance and risk mitigation focus throughout the project duration.
Design Management
o Ensure design team are aware of, and are complying with, client's Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes and the project schedule.
o Monitor design activities, inter-discipline data flow and communications.
Procurement/Subcontracts Management
o Assess procurement process throughout the project, as required, to ensure goods meet specification and are delivered on time and are within budget.
Construction Management
o Monitor the Construction Management function to ensure safe delivery of the project within cost and schedule objectives, as required.
Education/Training/Certifications:
o Bachelor's degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
