asp These positions are located in Facilities Management at the VA Montana Health Care Systems, Billings, MT.
Incumbents of these positions perform routine and specialized tasks in completing sanitation duties in the office building as well as critical care areas such as Special Procedures.
SPD, PAD, and the Operating Rooms.
Work is regularly performed by hand and heavy-powered (industrial-type) cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, spray washers, and vacuum cleaners.
The incumbent cleans and makes vacant patient units as required.
Routine tasks include but are not limited to; waste removal, dusting, polishing, dust/damp mopping, cleaning of urinals, sinks, commodes, restocking supplies such as paper products, cleaning equipment used,, and performing periodic maintenance checks on housekeeping equipment.
Specialized tasks include but are not limited to:
isolation cleaning, terminal unit cleaning, performing aseptic cleaning techniques, and sterile room techniques.
Other specialized cleaning consists of tiled floor refinishing, carpet cleaning and cleaning of terrazzo finishes.
Incumbent must be familiar with infection control techniques for maintaining an aseptically clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Monday through Friday; 40 hr shifts between 7:

3576A/3575A Promotion Potential:
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
