Transportation Services - Driver POSITION DESCRIPTION:
MHN Transportation Services - Driver primarily involves safely, efficiently, timely and comfortably transporting people and their cargo from one place to another but may occasionally involve materials and/or supplies between healthcare facilities.
Typical duties include inspecting vehicles before and after each transport, following traffic laws and safety regulations, communicating schedules and changes with facilities, MHN and clients and maintaining accurate records.
Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions and for safety reasons.
Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients and facilities depend on us at MHN for their transportation needs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Driving clients safely, comfortably and timing to their desired destinations Pick up clients from the place and time requested and, in some cases, drivers may be responsible for loading or unloading cargo and must ensure that it is safely stowed and secure.
Adhere to schedules and assigned routes by planning proper transport routes ahead of time based on road reports and conditions for safety reasons and to expediate the trip notifying dispatch or designee of any delays or change in plans.
Must always comply with all federal and/or state regulations and safety regarding driving, including wearing required safety equipment, following traffic signals and speed limits and avoiding distractions while driving.
Maintaining proper maintenance of vehicle by performing daily checks and/or scheduling regular car service appointments and reporting any issues to MHN.
Maintaining proper cleanliness and comfort of the vehicle for all riders, by performing duties themselves or booking car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car.
Maintain accurate records, of which may include but is not limited to:
trip reports, mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle inspections and maintenance, and report any accidents or incidents that occur while driving immediately to MHN and authorities Undergo regular training offered by MHN and adhere to all MHN policy/procedures.

Customer service skills by being polite, kind, caring, friendly and helpful.
Maintain a polite and professional disposition and appearance at all times.
Good communication skills as they this position will need to communicate effectively with MHN leadership/supervisors, dispatchers, other drivers and customers and may need to revolve disputes, answer questions, or provide information about destinations and/or pickup points.
Strong sense of responsibility and ability to make quick and appropriate decisions in transportation scenarios or in emergency situations which may include inclement weather, traffic delays or mechanical failures.
Understand and comply with federal and state regulations regarding driving.
General and basic knowledge of how vehicle works, upkeep and maintenance.
Proven written and oral skills.
Time management - being reliable, prompt, on time and meeting deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of:

Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Clean driving record with the ability to be properly insured.
MHN will provide options and/or opportunities for training to meet the requirements of this position as identified, agreed upon and deemed appropriate.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Has ability to lift, bend, stretch and reach to accomplish duties Works remotely Performed within MHN owned vehicle with frequent travel to Montana Health Network facilities and other associated businesses generally in eastern MT but could be elsewhere Transportation conditions may be in various weather and road conditions Job Types:
