Summary:
Under general supervision the accounting assistant will perform a variety of clerical accounting duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Must know how to operate modern office machines and equipment including calculating or adding machine, word processors, computers, printers, copiers and calculators.
Routinely use a full range of spreadsheet computer software applications, typing, maintaining records, files and processing mail.
Accounts Payable Data-entry of invoices daily.
Monthly reconcile statements.
Weekly check runs.
Converse with vendors as necessary.
Prepare payments for mailing.
Accounts Receivable Prepare deposits.
Record receipts.
Reconcile and post receipts to specified accounts.
Participate in the collection of delinquent accounts.
Prepare delinquent notices and letters.
Submit uncollectible accounts to collections.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two to three years of combined education and experience, or equivalent.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
